- Wolverhampton Homeless Services Unit
-
This Unit is committed to providing a quality service to victims of domestic violence and Service Standards have been issued which applicants can expect to be met.
- Anyone who is homeless can make contact with the Unit 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Applicants requesting temporary accommodation will be interviewed within one working day.
- Trained staff within the Unit strive to work closely with partner agencies to give support and advice to anyone who has been a victim of domestic violence.
- A Tenancy Sustainment Officer for domestic violence supports Local Authority Tenants experiencing domestic violence to sustain their tenancies as an alternative to temporary accommodation, if that is what the tenant prefers.
- Wherever a homeless applicant, who is the victim of domestic violence, is staying temporarily, whether in local authority hostels, bed and breakfast, or with family and friends, they will receive the support of an outreach worker based at the Haven.
